I don't like how it overlaps onto the quarter panel. but it may look better now that its all primed.

it looks to me kinda like the concept iroc spoiler or a 91-92 z spoiler with the centers cut out.

you are right david its an aftermarket z28 spoiler that was damaged when i tried to install it because of it being cheaply made. so i hacked the center feet of then fiberglassed the holes over then did a skim coat of bondo. thats why i said kinda custom kinda not. and tmic i think but im not positive that all the z-28 spoilers slighty overhang the rear quarters.

But I suppose they could have done it the way the thread starter did... I dont know why they didnt? Maybe the factory versions dont touch the hatch very much at all on the sides, and use the center bars as the primary supporting structures?
Or maybe it is just a style thing, who knows. But I always thought that concept spoiler looked much better than the 91-92 Z spoiler.

Wasn't the 91-92 Z spoiler designed loosely on a Ferrari spoiler design? I think I read that somewhere in the main section of TGO.

I know there was an aftermarket one very similar to that only it sat on top of the factory wedge spoiler. My brother had one and it looked pretty good.

Well THere have been plenty of cars that have had raised spoilers like that, but the guy who designed the concept had just bought himself a Ferrari F40 apparently, so that's supposedly where the inspiration came from.

Looks like what I did a few years ago when someone asked I wonder what a 91/92 wing would look like with no center posts on it..
someone above said You wouldnt be able to open the hatch. Yes you can. The stock 91/92 bolts to the middle and the outer edges also...
I had a spair 91/92 wing so cut em of. sanded and did a skim coat of duraglass on it. Came out really good..

I Think I might still have it up in the garage rafters collecting dust as I never planned to use it. Just said WTF.. someone wants to see what it looks like I'll do it..

I always wondered about the 91-92 spoilers, since I always thought those middle supports looked pretty cheesy. I guess they are there for style after all.
