91/92 RS/Z28

**Didn't know what other section to ask this**

Excuse me for this super N00b question... But why do i like the way the 91/92 RS looks so much more then the Z28

The only difference i notice is the spoiler and the front fog lights. Are there any other differences i don't know about? lol

Real shame about the TBI engine though. If i was to buy a Z28 how hard would it be to toss an RS spoiler on it?

You would have to drill new holes for the RS spoiler and weld some up from the Z28 spoiler.

RS has flat hood, Z28 has hood blisters.

I love the look of the 91/92 Z28 vs the RS. So much so that I will be adding the spoiler to my 92 RS. Already have the blisters on the hood.

I think they really set it off.

I think one of the biggest things about the z28 vs RS that everyone forgets is the black headlight pockets. I like the body color pockets of the RS a lot more. I personally think the black pockets date the cars to the 80's, but if other people like them that is fine.

Re: 91/92 RS/Z28

The black head light pockets look nice, especialy on a white car.

But I personally like the IROC hood over the flat, and the flat over the Z28.

For the spoiler, I like the 90 one (with brake light) more than the one on my 91 RS, and I personally dont care to much for the 91/92 Z28 spoiler...

But again, this is all personal preference... But that is why they make all the different designs right? Cuz not everyone likes the same thing.

Thats a good point.

But when i look at both from the side the RS just looks so bad *** compared to the Z28. They are identical from the side other then the spoiler. Which is why made this post. I just don't get it lol

BTW i really like that mesh looking grill in your sig pic.

Matter of preference. I have both styles. I think the hi rise looks great with the blisters and the 3 piece looks great with louvers or flat hood. Big block, Turbo or SS I would go with the Hi rise.

As far as the headlight pockets go, at first I had my pockets glossy like the rest of the car. Then I did a repaint and made my pockets satin black and the rest of the car glossy. My bo tie grill is also satin black and I like the look much better. I guess the best thing about these cars is everyone can have their own preference and it will still look good.
