oh crap, i crashed
I need some assistance. I picked a fight with a street/ight, and at the cost of both fenders and my bumper i won. However, i need to know what to do. the easiest thing seems to be to repace the fenders and bumper. it seems to be driving ok, but is there anything i shoud watch out for? suspension damage or something? any tips on repair or parts woud be appreciated.

i'll get some pics in a bit. my dad is in california with the camera. It wasnt too hard. i took out a whole street pole, it fell on top of my car. dented the roof and cracked the windsheild, but i'm more worried about my fender. i dont see any frame damage and teh radiator is fine. after the pole i hit a wall, thats what hurt my righ fender real bad and ended up punching in my right rear fender.

I'd be more worried about the roof. Fenders and bumpers are relativly easy to replace. The roof, not so easy to fix. How did you crash into a light post?

Re: oh crap, i crashed
My friend did this years ago, except it was to an RX7 he had for 14-15 days. He bent the frame a bit so being the smart high school students we were, we hooked his car up to a light post then the other side to a Bronco. Put her in 4 low and pulled. Got the frame out but not enough. His parents forced him to sell. Later we found that the dude that bought it and the parts car that went with it, used them for bumper cars.

pi//ar is ok. the windshied is hosed though, and thats a job for a proffesiona/. I went to a junkyard to find the fenders and bumper, but im not sure what years i shoud be /ooking for. I found an 89 that seemed pretty c/ose. The other one i found was an 86, but the fender seemed too thin. and to answer mikes question, i /ost contro/ coming around a corner. it had just rained and there were wet /eaves everywhere. the car shifted hard on the turn and the whee/s skipped. i /ost it, got it back, /ost it again and went straight through a /ightpost and grazed a wa//.

The fenders are 91-92 specific. I hear other years can be made to fit with some work. It has to do with how the gfx are attached I think.

Yes...ALL years of Camaro fenders will fit. The ground fx are the only differences, so you might hafta drill or fill holes, for the ground effects to mount too.

Re: oh crap, i crashed
ya id be a lot more worried about your roof man that would be pretty tricky to flatten out and actually make nice
if you google camaro fenders you can easily find third gen fenders for 50 bucks on the net so i wouldnt worry about ordering new ones

depends on the damage.....all this speculation could mean nothing.....with no pictures to assess damage
