Re: Antenna Center
See if you can gently pull it free, and then lubricate each segment with light oil.

Re: Antenna Center
perhaps a section of it is bent, causing it to bind.

Re: Antenna Center
just a thought, but in high school we were taught nopt to use oil.
The oil attracts and catches dirt adn what not which jams up the antenna.
Instead we used brake clean/degreasser and removed whatever dirt. It seemed to work pretty well.

Re: Antenna Center
have you tried cleaning it with the degreasers first?
Even if you oil it up it won't really help if its all gummed up and dirty.

Re: Antenna Center
After using WD and exercising the antenna up and down (hopefully it will free-up and work), lightly wipe the antenna with a dry clean rag. This will remove any access oil to help prevent the dust and dirt from accumulating on it. The very light WD residual film left behind will be all it needs for lubrication (provided it's working properly).
If the above doesn't solve your problem, you then likely have an internal antenna drive mechanical issue.
Good luck.
