You have a beautiful car there so just suck it up and dont be cheap! Save your money up and buy some nice rims, I have seen how that spray on chrome looks on other things people painted with it and it always looks like A$$ IMO!

Re: Rims...?
what kinda paint on chrome you got?! cause everytime i get a "chrome" spray on paint, it just comes out looking like aluminum model paint with a metallic look to it, but no mirror or anything like chrome...am i expecting too much?! Or does a product really exist?

Re: Rims...?
ive looked around and some products look good.... like that mirrachrome... but i'm against it now b/c it would cost the same to paint it as it would to buy new rims...

Re: Rims...?
You also need to think about the fact that that spray on chrome will probably not last on rim because of heat from the brakes and brake dust.

Re: Rims...?
I have tried the paint about 5 years ago on my outlaws. RUINED THEM. they looked better peeling clearcoat.
The chrome paint and the anodized paint you have is ment for touch up on your chrome and the anodized paint is the same made for painting your vavle covers and such.
BUT you do have a beautiful car and wheels look nice, especially complete with caps and all. If you are brave enought to do it please get a junk wheel or a spare aluminum. dont do you wheels on your car. Let us know...

Re: Rims...?
i'm not going to try to chrome paint them..... i have an autobody class every morning so i think i'm going to take them in there and have them repainted and cleared
i'll be happy with that.

Re: Rims...?
With those wheels I would just acid the hell out of them to clean them up a bit. Hit them with some paint stripper ( air craft stripper from wal-mart) to get the old paint off , be careful with this stuff on rubber wet the tires down to help with desolving it and if you do rinse it off the TIRES.Use a wire brush and some eagle wheel cleaner or if you can get some from a car detailing place some of there brake dust cleaner it will "shine" those up pretty nicely.

Re: Rims...?
after you are done you need to invest in the ceramics brake pads... all of you who have trouble with brake dust. ceramics cost about $36 for a front set all the way across and they dont leave that black dust everywhere. i run these on mine and you would think that i clean my tires everyday becuase they are NEVER black from dust. just a thought. stopping power is good also.
