tilt forward hood for a camaro
I've been dreaming about some possible future mods for a third gen. One involves having a hood that tilts forward. There is a kit out now to do that to a first gen but not a third gen. Wondering if it's feasable. ( I know anything is possible with enough money).
My other thought is doing suicide doors. I know lambo doors are the in thing around MI. but I like to be different. Doors are too heavy I've been told. Any thoughts?

Suicides are doable, but you'd hafta reinforce the rear sheet metal on the doors, where the hinges attach.
I had suicides and shaved handles on my 65 VW bug. Remember how the door hinges were o the outside of the doors, up front? My hinges were completely gone, hidden inside the jambs like other cars, but they were suicide doors! I loved it!
I think it was the mid-to-late 80s Olds that had reverse hinged hoods. They popped up like a regular hood, but only went forward about 6", the tilted forward. You might adapt that over, instead of spending $$$ on the aftermarket kit, which you'd hafta modify to fit a 3rd gen too. Might as well start off with something cheaper, when your gonna cut it anyways.

but will they go far enough forward to clear the nose on the camaro those cars had really short noses on them if at all may be better to make it hinge from where it is instead of trying to get it to move forward a little bit
