Touch up help, please!!!!

I have a 92 RS, Arctic white. She had some bad a** key or knife marks all the way down the driver's side from someone obviously mad at the previous owner. These marks look like a big tear that goes from behind the front wheel to behind the gas cap, from 1/4" to 1/2" wide in some places. I asked the guy down the street that turns out some nice lookin' paint, and he said 3 bills to fix. Being the titewad I am, I believe I have the skills to do the touch up. I began with prep-all, to remove all the gunk, and sanded down the scratched area (roughly the whole area above the door trim and below the beltline) with 320 grit paper, feathering out the scratches as best as I could. Prep-all, tacky cloth, then, I used duplicolor filler primer to level out the feathered areas. On about half of the areas as soon as I laid the primer on the existing paint began to develop little "fingers" perpendicular to the scratch marks. I was using a thin coat, 65 degrees, 40%humidity, and everything was clean. Any ideas?

On the areas that turned out decent, I wet sanded with 600 and 800 grit, prep-all, tacky cloth, then the duplicolor auto spray that was supposed to match. It was too dark of a shade of white! The chart in the duplicolor book says that with my paint code (9567 I think) to use dsgm153 for the 5 oz. spray. There is another arctic white GM color in the chart, but it doesn't match my code. Could I be needin' the other paint? Does anyone know which shade is brighter?

Any help soon would be greatly appreciated. My car has been in the garage for a week now, and it aint comin' out till it's looking at least decent.

Half fixed

Got a couple spray bombs from s/w that match perfectly, so I'm good on the paint. Turns out it was a respray from the previous previous owner. Still having problems with the paint blistering up on me when I spry it, though..........................................................Anybody?

Re: Half fixed

You said the previous owner had this car repainted before you bought it. It would be my guess that they painted it with an enamel paint. Laquer paint and enamel just don't get along together.you can put enamel over laquer but not laquer over enamel. I would suggest you get a ureathane based primer and then use your duplicolor paint if you must. BTW if the primer is bubbling the paint then that has to be a laquer primer.
