i bought the new t-top weatherstripping

i just got my new weather stripping in the other day so me and my dad installed it the other night, we followed all the instructions and cleaned everywhere. and did all the silicone work. now the car leaks on the drivers side and the middle of the t-tops. the passenger side is fixed.... for now anyone have any ideas on what i should do. it really pisses me off that i spent 255 on weatherstripping for it not to even work

Man, that sucks!

I'd be ticked off, too.

Maybe a good body shop would have some suggestions for you?

I wouldn't panic just yet. Have you adjusted your t-tops down? Also, did you put sealant under the t-bar?

Re: i bought the new t-top weatherstripping

My t-tops leaked because the seal on the top glass went to hell.
I used 3M Yellow weather striping glue to glue it in place it so it doesn't move any more and put Black RTV over that mostly to cover the yello and protect it form sun light.

Re: i bought the new t-top weatherstripping

Its likely not the weather striping, its the seal between the T-top glass and the locking mechanism.
There is no way to replace that seal. Just use Glue an RTV like I did. It should at least last several years.
