What is the color code for Bright Red?

What is the color code for Bright Red?

81U -- Exterior Color, Bright Red

When i go into get paint what color code do i tell them? 81U seems like a short code...am i missing something?

81U should be fine. I just punched that into my formula system and it brought up the correct color. The code will be listed on your SPID sticker. Itll be a 4 digit number preceded by U or WA. But like I said 81U will work also.

I know my '89 Iroc sports the same RPO code (81U) and it stands for colour code 81 / (WA 8774).

PS; I'd be a little worried about a bodyshop that couldn't simply look-up the correct colour codes to almost any domestic vehicle. Most reputable shops can do this.

I'm the one painting it

Lets see $150 for paint and materials compared to $3000 at a body shop.

The car was painted red in a body shop before, but me and my father (Licensed body man) had a good look at it and said we could do a much better job then these guys (Overspray everywhere, paint chipping, runs, unpainted areas, ect) yea it was bad...and im sure the previous owner paid alot of $$$
