30 months of crap but finally done
well it's been a long haul
I started with a crudy crumpled white 92 rs and with 30 months of work i achieved this. Paint is Tangier Orange with Gold perl. Five coats of clear. Rolls Royce Black on kit and spoiler. I have picks of entire process if anyone is interested I'll post them. Let me know what yall think.

Nice! Great job man. All that hard work really paid off.
You should consider adding some after market rims, powder coated black would look awesome!

Dothan Alabama. I'm relocating to Troy for college (only 20). I agree about the rims, but I'm trying to decide what I want. I've looked at the TTII's alot, but I also like the c5 ZO6 rims too. I know I will be going chrome, just not sure which of the two I want to go with. The reason it took so long is this is my daily driver and Ive had to do it on the weekends.
oh and here is a pic of the side. Keep the opinions coming. I love criticism, pos or neg, it gives me something to go by.

Black rims and some tint is my vote. almost the exact paint scheme i wanna do but I'm planning to use sunburst metalic orange and viper black. But that royce black looks pretty good. How long did it take you to prep and paint, just out of curiosity.

Everything looks very good! I think some aftermarket hood would also make the car stick out. Then ya some nice rims it will be a bad lookin car!

paint the wing orange to match rest of car and repaint ground effects in silver, might look a little sharper...
Nice job though!

Re: 30 months of crap but finally done
I'm with you regarding the wing. Painted the body colour would look sweet as well as the mirrors. Maybe tint the windows a shade darker. Great looking job however.
To add a nice effect and a transition between the black ground effects and orange body, I might try a 1/2"-5/8" black stripe at about the same height above the black ground effects as the width of the stripe.
That would make it black ground effects . . . 1/2" orange . . . 1/2" black . . . orange body.
It wouldn't cost much and can easily be removed if you don't like it.
Plus I favour black headlight buckets.
Again, looks great.

Re: 30 months of crap but finally done
well i deff disagree about painting the spoiler orange. It doesn't pop enough.(actually tried it before painting it black) and deff not silver gfx that would look ...off... but the striping idea was good and i am in the process of trying to get an ss hood soon.
oh and a cpl pics of process

I do really like the orange colour. It's a bold choice and really stands out.

I think the ss hood idea would look awesome, and how about some black hockey stick stripes down the side?

Ive grown out of the two tone look, but you somehow pulled it off!! Looks nice.
However, it had a bling factor to the paint, but the rest of the car looks too "reserved".
Ditto on the SS hood, and definately some new wheels. Maybe black with a chrome lip?

Re: 30 months of crap but finally done
I'd paint the headlight buckets black, and the spoiler orange. Maybe would have gone with black racing stripes, or an IROC hood. Other than that, I likes it.
Oh! Paint the bowtie in the grill body color orange. For that little extra.

I take a hunting trip every year to a rural area outside of Troy. Lots of big deer there if you like hunting.
But back to the topic ... I definitely think rims would make that car POP. I'm thinking TT2's.
Great job on the car!
