Re: Asking the impossible

Theres a sticky right at the top of this board about window and door rattles. Dynamat, RAAMat or other soudn deadening mats will also make a noticable difference for road noise.

Re: Asking the impossible

basically; the less noise/ air/ rattling and smoother the ride, means the faster u can go." I think, but not entirely sure" also I just got remove the flow's 44 and replaced them with flow's fogger's. On the turnpike; the less noise I make.. the better, the less i would get noticed by the state police. I don't think they like my car, they typically shadow ride me at lease for a couple of exit's. Plus also it would be cool when someone get's your car, theirs amazed on clean and well maintain it is.

The years are started to catch up on the third gens, as I see in pricing/worth are increasing. My car is far from orginial; SO if I'm going the retro-rod way. Trying to make it feel like a new car/ with the power of a small block. Also; it make's it much more livable in the city. pot holes, radio's noise, buses, construction, people talking on phones. I just want quite in my car.

Buying the Sub-frame connector, let's see what happening.

Re: Asking the impossible

It depends on how much money you want to spend. The subframe connectors will give your car a more solid feel and eliminate some of the creaking, as long as they are weld-in. Dynamat makes everything you need as far as sound deadening; use the aluminized stuff on the floor, the matting on the doors and "flat" panels and the liquid stuff inside the doors and quarters. It makes a big difference. It is expensive and a pain in the a%%, but if you tear your entire interior out, except headliner and dash, its not too bad if you take your time. There are lots of other products out there, and everyone has their own opinion on which is right for them..... Good luck!!

Re: Asking the impossible

Just a quick aside on the dynamat. Do yourself a favor and get a heat gun (cheapies from lowes are around 20.00 usd) and make sure you get the roller. Heating the dynamat makes it more pliable for covering the contours of the floor and in the trunk area. The roller will save you some blistered fingers as well as make it easier to get those hard to reach places.
