Help me clean up my '92 Z28..
My '92 Z28 I just purchased has a gap between the hood and the top of the front bumper that's about 1/2" bigger than it should be. The bump stops under the hood are adjust all the way to their lowest point, can't think of any other way to close this gap up? Almost thought about a coil off the metal spring on the underside of the hood to make the gap go away...but I'm not sure how that will work out lol.
Any suggestions?

the hood latch adjusts down
at the top of the bumper inside the engine compartment there is several bolts you have to loosen up and pull the bumper cover up

If you need help I can show you, Im in santa ana.. but there are bolts that have to be loosened underneath the cover. It usually has nothing to with the hood. I actually did mine a couple days ago

Loosen the two 13mm bolts that hold the hood latch on and move it down. If you need more downward movement loosen the the latch mounting panel and move that down. There really isnt that much movement in the bumper cover brackets themselves, sounds to me that its more in the latch. How does the hood pop when you pull the handle. Does it pop up or does it just kinda lift a little and is tough to open. A properly adjusted hood should have a pretty good pop to it when the handle is pulled.

there is a ton of movement on the bumper brackets, I havent killed my short term memory that bad. I dicked around with the hood forever and it created more problems. Moving the latch down is what makes the hood not pop up.
