Torq Thrust style rim on a Trans Am
Hey Guys,
I just ordered a set of 15x8" Eagle Alloy series 211 rims (the torq thrust style). I'm a long ways from home for a while, but I'd like to get an idea what it's going to look like when I get finished. Anybody here got a picture of 15" torq thrust style rim on a 3rd gen? It doesn't seem to be something that's very common at all, i'm not really certain why not. Seems like it would be a pretty sharp combination...
Thanks guys,
-Levi

IMHO they look better on 60's cars. I had some on my 69 for a while but I like the rally two's much better. They were not all that light (the AR brand) but my buddy has them on his 65 Lemans and they look sharp. I like at least 16" wheels on third gens myself. The tires are cheaper for 15's though.

Yeah,
I thought about bigger rims, but it already has a brand new set of 235/60 15's on it, and i didn't want to go the cost of new tires. Plus, I picked up the rims for $350 with shipping for the set, I thought that was a pretty good deal. I'm a bit concerned with the offset causing the rim to stick out too far, but i checked it against some of the bigger combinations others are running, and it seems like it will be right at the limit of what I can fit. Should fill the wells pretty good.
I'm up at the Naval Academy in Annapolis right now, and quite a long ways from home down in Texas, but when I get home and get 'em on I'll be sure and post some pics. For the time being, here's some of the car as it sits now...

very nice car!
Yes I have 17" X 8" rims all around. That way I could rotate them.
So you should be ok.
I also have sportline springs on my car, so it's lowered almost 2 inches

$400 for a set of wheels is a pretty good deal.
