HOOD PINS>>>>>
I am thinking about installing hood pins on my car, but I don't know what they look like. I was wondering if some of you can post pictures of Camaros wit hood pins...so I have an idea of what to expect. Thanks.
Re: HOOD PINS>>>>>
I don't have any pics of mine, they look about the same though.
The only difference in mine is that they are more towards the center, and I have a somewhat thick cable from the pin under the front of the hood and above the headlights.
I would take a pic for you but I can't even get anywhere near my car at the moment.

Re: HOOD PINS>>>>>
those are some classy hood pins. i saved that one.
but you dont really need hood pins unless you are running one of those glass aftermarket hooods where it does not have enough strength to stay down and tends to lift and blow away.

Those autocatch seriously though, are probably the best out there, for the reason they use more surface area unlike other pins which are small circles. This helps hood flex and is more durable than other hood pins for that reason. I like how they are lockable unlike other hood pins (unless you get mr gasket pins which I hear pop off easily at high speeds) keeping people out from under the hood

But yeah, if everyone knows, its hard to be different. Which is why I cant wait for the HID kit I will be doing, all I will say is (Remove chrome from...) and that's that.
Also toxik, I know another company that sells even more unique pins than aerocatch, but are way more expensive (around $200). Also they will need more custom work than aerocatch or other pins. They came out in 07 and are online and phone order only. Kind of weird.

I thought this was towards me. If it was I was just playing, only problem with forums is they don't show expression, I had a funny face on when I typed that...hehe.

Re: HOOD PINS>>>>>
not kidding i know someone who genuinly thinks hoodpins add hp to his car,
which is why i say only get hoodpins if you need them, like if you have a glass hood which doesn't stay down, if your normal hood latch still works you better be able to go mach 5
or i'm gonna come at you like a spidermonkey

nope i needed hoodpins (and i was kidding bout the hp boost lol). previous owner bent the hood latch so bad it wasnt fixable and the line for the hood latch release was cut. so i put the hoodpins in! like i said i was only gonna use 2, but middle of the hood stuck up to much. added 2 more to hold it down and get it flush with the front bumper cover

Re: HOOD PINS>>>>>
So did the OP get hood pins yet? I H8 when people don't finish their own threads. I can't wait to go back and finish mine, now that I am [___] that much closer to getting her running again.
P.S. www.HOODPINS.net has some nice hood pins. I really like their styles, but their locking unit is weak, that's my only gripe with most locking hood pins/ Or at least it seems weak.
