good idea? or bad one?

ok my moms birthday is coming up and i was going to borrow her 2000 light pewter camaro wich is basicaly stock and give it a makeover it so deserves. so, ive already got the anzo crystal headlights w black housing and halo's. a can of nite shades for the markers, signals and third brake light. also a pair of the taillight blackouts but, the halo's got me thinking.

if i were to take the black plastic front grille that has the CAMARO molded into it, trim just the back out of the letters, put an acrylic sheet behind the letters painted with the night shades, fab up a housing to put 4 194 led bulbs into and wire it with the halo's to the side markers (so they dont blink) it would give a stock appearance during the day but when you turn the lights on the camaro letters would light up

another idea if i did do this mod i could put a sequential blinker kit in that would come on with the turn signals and light up in sequence in the direction the signal came on.

has any 1 ever heard of this before? i think i might try and patent this when im done depending on the results and maybe i could get a kit out there for any 1 else that wanted it i know there will be a decent amount of cutting but hey if it aint a little work then its not worth it.

my mom has always wanted to do a full blackout on the car and when i come back with her baby and she see's what ive done to it. she'll be so happy she will probably poop out smiley's from then on

my problem is i need to know if i am i taking it overboard and am i crazy to think it will look as cool as i think it will?? what do u guys think??

Mighta wanna find a junk grill to try it on first. Be a shame to accidentally screw up your moms car. Besides that though it's a cool concept.

You might have better response from a site designed for newer vehicles, such as http://www.camaroz28.com/

Re: good idea? or bad one?

well i figured if i did mess up i can get a new 1 for like 50 and some change thru my work. but the hardest thing about it would be securing the housing and keeping everything up front structuraly sound
