Re: Rust Bullet???

I ordered a 1/4 pint can to fix a couple coin size rust spots on my floorboard. They are not joking when they say not to get it on your skin... took me about a half hour of scrubbing to get it off lol. I'm only using Rustbullet on the floorboards, if/when I do the undercarrige I'll use Rustbullet+Blackshell.

I was originally going to use POR-15 but after reading up on both a bit Rustbullet sounded easier and just as good for what I need it for. It's not cheap but if it does what it's supposed to it's well worth it, only thing worse then fixing rust is having to do it a second time.

Re: Rust Bullet???

I'll tell ya i've heard alot of good things about rust bullet from a bunch of my friends (they do alot of snowplowing, rust is a common issue with them) As far as rustbullet vs por 15 its a split decision. Half are die hard por 15 while the other half say rust bullet is much easier to apply. The por 15 does have a more truck bedliner finish to it just fyi. I personally ordered a large case of por 15 for the iroc... she'll get the treatment here in a couple weeks as soon as OH weather can make up its mind.

Re: Rust Bullet???

Am I reading this right? If you have rust spots on your car... You can apply this stuff on the rust spot, and it will stop it from spreading?

Re: Rust Bullet???

i'm thinking about putting some down on the inside of the car before i start putting her back together then taking her out for a professional undercoating and that way i really should never have anything to worry about when it comes to rust

what do you think

Re: Rust Bullet???

In my opinion you still need to sand and wire brush. You will never get rid of all the rust it gets in the poors of the metal. But yeah this stuff works great and you can let it cure sand prime and topcoat. It does stick better to a little suface rust but I prefer to get rid of most.I use a combination of bothSEM rust shield witch in my opinion is better than por 15 and rust bullet.I use the Sem on the undercariage and the bullet on body panel spots.
