Anyone use any of these type prducts on thier cars? This stuff isn't cheap and looking for what might work best for the best price. I know their is more then one vendor but I don't know what they are.

 

When applied correctly, por-15 is a great product. Follow the directions and it will turn out great.

I don't have much rust, but I am using it stop the surface rust that is appearing and to prevent future rust. I have coated part of the underside already and the rockers. I also am using it on a flatbed which was pretty rusty. Working great so far, and much cheaper than POR-15.

 

I have managed to use a project Called GEM rust Convertor

It usually runs about 8$ for a quart of converter and it turns it into a Black Iron Phosphate. You can just put it in a spray bottle and have at it. It works great and is reasonably priced.

I Did my battery box which was pitted/rusted pretty good and also the back valance below my hatch where the stripping goes. Just make sure to to clean off all the excess rust with a wire brush and blow it out of there. If you want I can get pictures of what I did.

 

I've used POR-15 on several projects--highly recommended.

Used by alot of 4x4's up here in Michigan, I've never used it but if it can hold up to a Michigan winter it'll hold up against anyhting.
