Re: beefing up the body/fram

There are a few ways to due this. There are strut tower braces that tie top of front struts in engine bay (side to side twist), there is a wonder or steering brace bar (same as above but attaches front frame together side to side and was factory on some models). You can even get new front and rear frame assemblies. Stronger transmission crossmembers can help stengthen the chassis. and you could do a stronger upper rear panhard bar. Roll cages also offer good frame strength if you want to go that route. But the most common is sub-frame connectors. Some are pretty much to bars that run from front to back, some brands have a little better design. A lot of guys run different brands, I run UMI parts. here is the link for sub frame connectors http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=127 here is the link for strut tower braces http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=126 here is link for steering/wander bar brace http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=125 They have more stuff on their site, so check them out.....hope that helps.

Re: beefing up the body/fram

thanks thats just what the doctor ordered. we are seeing some twist damage before we rebuilt the motor. it a 355 with 9.5:1 pistons, and edelbrock performer heads, scat crank, and a 750 edelbrock performer series carb, a edelbrock performer intake, roller rockers and a bunch of other toys in it. so thanks a bunch for the help.
