3rd gen with a ferrari body kit?
There's this 84 camaro for sale around here for 600 that's being sold for parts being there's no title. I figure the price isn't too bad being that the hatch alone is worth that much on hawks web site and after i use what i want out of it i could part it out. But IMO the body kit looks like crap and i mostly want it for the hatch and small stuff i need to complete my car that would cost over that in the end with shipping charges and such. What do you guys think?

OP - Do you know what engine/transmission it has? Is it an IROC? You can easily make your money back on that car if the engine and trans are in good shape, especially if its TPI or has the manual trans in it. I'd say its more than worth it since you want the notchback hatch anyhow.

I few words come to mind when i see this car, none of them good. I think the least offensive is either hideous or ugly

that hood might be worth good money to someone in your area if you sand it, primer it and sell it as ready for paint. If it will save you money in the long run I say buy it!

Re: 3rd gen with a ferrari body kit?
Its a head turner good or bad
for 600 i say buy it, the hatch is worth that, and the hood could be worth decent money probably 90-120 bucks if sanded and primed, i was actually looking for that hood cheap a couple months ago because i wanted to run a dual snorkel air cleaner to the "turbo" cut outs, but i decided on a cowl hood for my open element instead.
either way i say go for it

I don't think anyone is looking at the big picture. I say remove the extra spoiler, give it some decent wheels and change the paint scheme and I think you would have a decent and unique ride.

Re: 3rd gen with a ferrari body kit?
I cannot help but wonder why people do this stuff to Camaros instead of Firebird since firebirds have more pointy noses.
Now I am not saying that I want this to happen to Firebirds, it just seems odd that people would go for something that initially looks less like the final thing than the other one that would actually support their desired result.
*shrug* Oh well, more unmolested Firebirds that way. :P
