Re: OoHhh the HORRORrr
Remind me not to drive through that town. Talk about one SERIOUSLY inept Fire Department!
2:16 at the start of the video...Saw won't start, to open the hood with. Takes them until 2:27 to open the hood. 11 minutes! I saw no body damage, so I see no reason the pull cable would have been inoperative. Maybe, but not very likely. Even if it was.....11 minutes????

Re: OoHhh the HORRORrr
They did the best that monkeys could I guess. -_- Idiot with the saw turned a slow burning fire into a larger one. I don't know if the hood latch was broken or what, but there had to have been a better way around it. They don't look like trained professionals to me, they look like a couple of monkeys having a fun training session(sad part is that it wasn't a training session) Guy with the axe probably had a little fun though lol.
I can't say for sure what could have been done better under those conditions aside from not using that cutting wheel and creating sparks.
I hate not having the full story of a video lol. We need after pictures or something.

This looks like a paid department. The guy with the saw looked from the beginning of the video to have a hard-on to wanna use his saw. What a bunch of poorly trained fools. Shame.

Re: OoHhh the HORRORrr
in their defense, the hood latch cable could have melted, and prevented it from operating.
However, they look like a bunch of monkeys trying to **** a football with the way they go about opening the hood. seriously, everycar i've ever seen has the hood latch in the center, so why not start there if you are planning to start cutting or bashing the car to pieces?

Re: OoHhh the HORRORrr
This video should be given to the insurance agency as evidence.... and the Fire Department should pay for the write-off. My goodness... that was a nice lookin Iroc!
It took the one guy 3.5 seconds to pull out his "big chisel" and start whacking the hood...... Oooooh the Humanity of it all!!!!
and the retard with the saw musta cut through the fuel line halfing that hood!!!!
Why wouldn't you cut the area with the hood latch?

Re: OoHhh the HORRORrr
Looks like the idiot with the saw started the fire, the way he's chopping at the hood he's chopping straight into the front fuel lines there. It's an 87 or earlier car going by the wheels. On those cars especially the fuel lines are exposed where they run, there's hardly anything in the way without the whole serpentine drive system. The fire is also from what looks like residual fuel pressure. If the pump were running it would have eben much much worse.
From the initial smoke it looks like it's a wiring issue, not a fuel fire. Simply pulling the hood release and disconnecting the battery would have saved that car.

Re: OoHhh the HORRORrr
The hood latch should have still worked. If that car is like mine you need to pull the latch and then Fonzy smack the hood until it pops open. It also helps to do the infamous "eeehhhhh!"
