Stainless steel head lamp screens

New to the boards here. So hello everyone

Check these out I haven't finished the frames yet.
I like the way they look plus I'm tired of replacing head lights due to log trucks throwing rocks.

Next up is C.I.A and then Cold air hood. and then probably some unique body mods

Re: Stainless steel head lamp screens

It's an interesting idea. I think they would look much better if they were painted / powdercoated black though... Pics are a little too small to really get a good feel for how they look.

Re: Stainless steel head lamp screens

Thanks for the welcome.

Back in the day. I did see clear lexan covers. smoked and a few blue and red ones.
The only problem with them was they would only last a year or so.
Here in the NW they dump lava rock on the roads in the winter. So it seems every year a fella has to replace head lamps, windshields.
And the lexan gets foggy pretty quick. UV really does a number on it.

I don't care for them, but I have to ask, just how many headlamps have you replaced? I've never heard of one of these breaking where they weren't in an accident or intentionally hit. The odds of it happening to someone more than once must make you a pretty unlucky person.

Re: Stainless steel head lamp screens

I probably replace 1 or 2 head lamps a year. Not on this rig alone but between pickup wife's car and this car.
Not so much the wife's car but my rigs yes.
I drive logging / mine roads for work. Having a freshly loaded log / haul truck pass you going the other way. Gets everything from mud/rocks/tools/lunch boxes/shackles you name it.
Plus the HWY dept in their great wisdom dumps tons of lava rock on the passes which gets picked up and tossed by the fellas with aggressive tread and no mudflaps on their lifted 4x4s
Take a look at the pick of the front of the car. that aint dirt.
