HIgh rise spoiler questions need answers please
Ok so ive had this high rise spoiler for about a year now and i think im gonna finally install it, i pulled my lip spoiler a while back and bondo'd in the holes, pouunded them in and filled it etc so those are good, ive been fiddling with the spoiler at work and i wanted to know where the factory holes were, this things been passed around apparently and people have just run holes in it, ive filled all the holes with duraglass and sanded them down so im gonna set the holes myself but i wanna have them in the factory locations, if someone could tell me and/or show me where they are that'd be appreciated.
Im gonna run one on each center post just dead center and i THINK theres supposed to be two on each end correct? Since im starting from scratch and this thing has been so abused im gona reinforce the center ones by using some expanding foam in the posts, then coating it with an epoxy, and inserting a threaded rivet in (gotta love the goodies we have at work) the rivet will sit flush with the post i just wanna get them in the right spot
thanks in advance!
ill post pics as i go

Yeah I know buuut since I'm all about re using stuff I figured I could save an old spoiler from the scrap heap, I'm using the threaded rivet so I could put a stud in there if I really wanted to, just lock it down with somen red locker gel that way it would have studs
Could you throw up a full one and then one of the end pieces, and the 2 centers so I can set them in the proper spots

Awesome lol I can handle that i ved brought mine back from hell it was warped, the center posts sat a good 4 inches up so I left it in the az sun with a small bag of dirt on it to put it back lol then repaired all thed cracks, I actually had to make some of them bigger to fill them in with the duraglass lol I kinda like the idea of sinking studs into it lol I was just ngonna run the bolts up from the bottom, I'm guessing there's some type of gaskets that go on the body for the ends?

Re: HIgh rise spoiler questions need answers please
yea it looks like there are supposed to be 2 on each of the 4 posts but theres one thing i dont understand if the spoiler reaches all the way to each side (which i havent even tried yet cuz i got my hood sitting over my trunk area and have a pile of parts ontop of it.) how can it bolt to the car and the trunk and still be able to open?? maybe im wrong and it only fits the trunk panel

yeah i know they hang over and apparently it just bolts to the trunk lid and im guessing the gaskets are molded to the quarters so when you open it the gasket sits while the spoiler rises, i figured it just bolts to the trunk lid cuz its got that line along the ends

One of those wings would look cool if the middle legs were cut off and smoothed out with just the outside holding on. I guess it would need to be reinforced in a big way for that to work.
Nice job so far!!

Re: HIgh rise spoiler questions need answers please
i was thinking of doing this actually.... but at the same time i dont wanna attempt it, neon status lol now that i think of it you could use foam filler, it would be strong enough to hold up, but my biggest concern would be securing it, just take the center posts, cut them, put some backstrap in there for reinforcment, fill it up with the foam, sand it down then lay some duraglass down.... its tempting now that i think about it grrr
