I don't really understand what you're trying to do? Are you trying to get a salvage title, or you're trying to re-title it to avoid a salvage title? That sounds a bit shady.

In any case you're going to have to better explain what you're trying to accomplish.

Re: inspection to get another title

If you have title in had, sounds like all you need to do is transfer it to PA. Most states just want to see the title, not the car so much. If it's a salvage title, then you got some hoops to jump through. Could be a big mess if it's salvage in other state. In NC when we bought salvage cars, they would inspect them three times, before, during and after the repairs, before paint. Mostly to verify where used parts came from. Wife totaled her truck in SC. Took 6 months to get title back from DMV. Had truck fixed long before.

Re: inspection to get another title

my car was totaled back inmay. the insurance company totaled it. so as of right now it is a salvage title, i dont have a title for it. i just need to get it re-titled....it will be considered a recontructed title.

Re: inspection to get another title

I feel for ya. Salvage titles are a biyotch. Some states are worse than others. Search on the net or if you can find someone in your area that could explain what you need to do. Maybe garage, body shop, tow yard or such. Rebuilder could tell you for sure, if they will. You'll have to deal with DMV at some point but sometimes they aren't very helpful. I call a few times, some help more than others.

Re: inspection to get another title

In Louisiana you have to bring the repaired totaled car to state police for inspection. Then insurance wise all you can get is libility, no collision.

You may have to brush up on your document fabrication skills. LOL Probably the easiest way.

Re: inspection to get another title

I don't remember having to have any reciepts. I just drove the repaired car down to state police and an officer went out to look at it and looked at the inspection sticker and license plate and can't remember if I brought my title for him to look at.
