does this look bad?

well today i went to go get gas in my car, well when i went to move all i did was spin tires, i had ice under my driverside wheel, well i found that if i put the car in drive it would pull forward a bit and i could try and turn my wheel where i could get off the ice, well i didnt realize how close i was to my garage pillar and rubbed it, how bad does the damage look?

From the pic, it looks like a touch-up job---
As long as there are no dents // cracks in the plastic & rubber.

Re: does this look bad?

Looks like a kink in the nose because the hood/fender/nose isn't lined up. Need a better pic.

Re: does this look bad?

Hard to say from the blur but it just lloks like a lot of paint transfer. Pillar was white?
CAn't tell if there are any cracksin the paint but you should be able to clean the white off. Laquer thinner, fine rubbing compound, what ever wax or polish you may have around.

If you know what you are doing you can wet sand a lot of that out if it's just paint transfer. Of course try a less aggressive rubbing compound first. As long as the plastic itself isn't damaged and the paint underneath is okay it won't be too bad. Itherwise, you're looking at repairing that bumper cover.

Looks like $1000+ of body shop work or if the car is not worth it don't do anything.

Re: does this look bad?

If you're getting it painted then the shop will just have to sand and feather where the paint cracked and prime it.
Bu you should be able to clean off that white so it does not look so bad until its painted.

With Clear coat paint you cannot just blend in a small area....

Re: does this look bad?

Not sure you do. Small blends with BC/CC are very easy to do.

Exactly!
What does that other person think us Auto body technicians do when we paint a quarter panel. Paint the quarter , across the roof and down the other quarter because you can't blend the cear!
