Re: how to remove pin stripes
I used a razor blade. I just picked on the edges grabbed on and pulled. It breaks off so I just do it again.
Some parts took along time and others came right off....

Re: how to remove pin stripes
i assume they are the decal type , not painted . a heatgun/hairdrier will help a lot peeling them off . just take it easy , go slow & peel them off . then wipe down area with acetone or laquer thinner to remove glue residue . good luck .

Or you could use an Eraser Wheel which you can get from a paint store and put it in a drill.

If done on good paint, not all faded, the car will just fine afterwards, with no evidence that the stripe as ever there, like an unfaded stripe left behind.

I don't know, but I was told that spray will not harm the finish underneath

The Eraser Wheel is what we used at the body shop when I worked Detail & Prep.

Re: how to remove pin stripes
Go to your auto parts store and buy a spray can called " Sticker Shocker". Spray it on the decal and it will work its way in behind the decal and melt the glue. Any residue left over can be wiped off with your thumb.
Re: how to remove pin stripes
Sticker shocker.....I think I seen something like that at autozone. I will give it a try I already got the eraser wheel and it worked great. its just a pain in the you know what on the bumper cover. After the stripes are done I gotta fix the crack in my nosepiece but that's another story.

Re: how to remove pin stripes
If you are going to use razor blades in the process at all get plastic ones like these:

Much less likely to damage the paint.
