How many hood blister designs??
My Bride saw a Camaro with " something on each side of the top of the hood "
So I showed her a local Camaro with louvers, & she said not louvers, but kinda like scoops.
So, being ignorant of blister designs, I'm asking for some education please!!??!!
Can a few of you PLEASE post a pic of hoods with the different designs??
Thank You for any & all help & education!! Greatly appreciated!!

Re: How many hood blister designs??
Take a look at the members rides section - lots of pics there.
Maybe she saw the Daytona or Turbo hood.
Factory there were louvers and blisters - the blisters same identical size/shape as the louvers, but just smooth and a single hole looking piece at the windshield end. 1985 car would have louvers, 1991/2 car will have blisters.

the louvers sit in the inset of the hood and the blisters sit on top of the hood . the blisters are bigger and better looking i think.

Re: How many hood blister designs??
camaronewbie & usacamaro,
Thank you for the help!!
I started looking thru the gallery, then it hit me...

to look thru the
hoods hoods hoods.... thread!!
So I saw a couple ppl selling blisters, & there was mention of studs.
The inside of our hood has a few places that appear to be for blisters, but is flat outside.
If we were to get blisters, is that something I can do, or better left to a Bodyshop?
I have 2 options--
Bigblock hood or blisters.
It is with a heavy heart, but may be selling the project next spring.
I don't have the time to give her the care & attention she deserves this year at all. These last 3 weeks @ work & home have kicked my ***, with no signs of letting up for at least 6-8 months.
We have a Bigblock that was in my '75 Camaro, but needs freshened up after 7 yrs of hard & fun daily use. That's where the Bigblock hood would have came to use.
If things don't cheer up & get better, she'll be in the ads here first.
The rest of this year will be the factor that decides our fate!!
Thanks for letting me vent.
This site is a treasure trove of education, information, friendship, & fun.
Going to be off line a few days.
Cheers

Re: How many hood blister designs??
I'm not 100% sure - but I was under the impression that both louvers and blisters required the hood with the dimple in it shaped like them. Neither add anything to hood height at all.
