I have an 83 z28 with a rear window wiper and I want to get louvers for it. Do I need to get special ones to accommodate the wiper? I've seen some pictures of aftermarket louvers and it looks like they contact the glass in the center, but it's hard to tell. I've seen ones that are specifically for the window wiper, but they're the three piece type.

I'd really prefer not to get the 3 piece kind, I think they're ugly.

Any thoughts?

 

I had a set of the astra hammond ABS plastic 1-piece louvers and they are cheap.
They connect to the rear glass with two hinged clips up top and two pieces with adhesive on the backs for the bottom.
I had to take them back off because they moved around so much when I was driving that I though they were going to fly off.

 

I don't think it is possible to put louvers on a window withe the wiper.Atleast,I've never seen it.

Well,witht he louvers, maybe you don't even need the wiper. You could take it off and cover the hole or something like that.

 

I'd prefer to have my wiper still working. You don't see them too often on thirdgens so it's kinda cool. I think I might just fork over the cash for the one with a wiper

 

Different manufacturers usually made 2 sets, one of them having provisions for a rear wiper. I have a set of cragers in my garage that have pegs that raised the louvers to leave the extra room for a wiper to operate underneath.

 

i have the cragars, love them. i measured once for a friend though i still think its not enough space. usually they make 2 sets one for third brake light and one for not in my experience
