How To Strip The Plastic Nose?

Hi everyone, I was hoping I could get some input here. I have started working on a 1982 Trans-Am project that my father bought. The car is actually in great shape, but somewhere in it's life somebody performed a driveway or bad garage paint job on the car. From what I can tell it was re-painted with an enamel paint over the original paint and it was extremely poorly done. Many areas of the car are peeling and lifting off, most noticeably the roof and nose cone. I have started stripping the roof, no big deal, and the metal will be duck soup, but what would you suggest is the best way to strip the paint off of the "plastic" nose without damaging the nose itself? I have been hesitant to use standard paint stripper because I think it will damage the nose (which has no cracks, breaks, or problems and I'd like to keep it) and I have been hesitant about sanding for the same reason. Is there a good way to strip this nose cone down without damaging it? Any good products?

Thank you all in advance. In the few weeks I have been working on this project this site has been a tremendous help.

There are a few plastic bumper strippers out there. I'm also planning to repaint my car and going to strip my bumpers. Thinking about soda blasting

x2 for the soda blasting. i personally have used regular paint stripper on a plastic nose and it warped it. there is a plastic/polyeurethane stripper that works well.

80 grit sandpaper with a block and be careful of the body lines. Soda blasting would work but it may be too pricey.

it warped because you left it on there to long. spread it on let it sit for a minute scrape it off , keep repeating. either way around its alot of work. worked fine for me.
