Discontinued. Search for a long time before I gave up. Even had the GM part number. Tried cross referencing it with no luck. Modified my hatch to use glass hatch ones.

I can only speak for the factory notchback and most wouldnt reshape the inside to clear some struts. But if you are still interested This is what I had to do to get the stock glass hatch struts to work on mine

Re: notchbak rear struts???
i have an 88 gta notchbak and this looks interesting bud, because i wanted to be able to swap out to the glass hatch as well. like having both styles, and make it so that any day i wanted to swap i could, jus to change the look,,like putting the top down on a convertible. im curious though when i look at your pics,,it appears you had the glass hatch and fixed your car to allow for the oem notch hatch. on my gta there are 2 bolts on the body. 1 to attach the strut and another is like a guide, beacause the hatch has this hook style arm that goes on to it when in down position. i am also curious if you changed the way the strut attaches to the hatch. the notch hatch has a ball type stud

Re: notchbak rear struts???
I tried to find a sphericle rod end for the strut ends but couldn't find with the correct ends. I ended up unscrewing the ball studs from the factory notchback. Then I removed the plastic insert from the strut end. I found the correct bolt to match the threads where the ball was. With the bolt and spacer attached the strut to the notch. I will try to post pics. Planning to make my own ends for it later. I have my glass hatch sitting there ready to go back on if I get bored with the notch.
