Do you still get the insurance money if you buy it back?

If so, you could buy it for cheap, and buy the T/A you wanted and use the '86 Firebird as a parts car.

You would be surprised, my mirror was hit on the passenger side. Busted it and pulled mirror slightly away from door. I got almost $1,200 from insurance company. When the adjuster came out to do a estimate, he was really surprised at the condition of the car. At that point it only had about 46.000 miles on it. I think it also helped that his daughter had one as her first car.

I just realized that I have a set of Camaro Z28 wheels on my car that are priced at $250 a set. Do you think if I bring it up to my adjuster it would raise the value of the car?

Anything you can show as to the value of a part, like 16" vs 15" wheels, may increase it, if he was figuring the value with 15" wheels to start with.
