Started refinishing my Iroc for paint, and I may have run across a rear decklid w. rear wiper for cheap. My car has RPO code C25, which means it originally had the wiper until someone replaced the deck lid. Can someone post pictures or the switchs used to activate the wiper, and maybe a a picture of the rear lid with wiper already on a car. Also, where does the wiring run to the wiper motor?

 

Do a search on my name and "rear wiper" and you should find info/pics.

I wonder if they changed out the plastic inside the car which allows the wiper motor room. Have you checked that too? You might need the plastic from the seller. I like that option, it seems pretty few and far between. I would change mine if I could find all the right parts to a rear wiper car.

thank you JamesC, just what i needed. I have the washer pump under the hood (disconnected), the nozzle on the roof, have to look at the switch this morning(can't remember). I do not have the contact Pad on the interior trim panel, or any extra wiring back there. Next stop, look at my wiring diagrams and look in the dash for the clipped wires.

 

I'd remove the interior trim piece and take a look. I suspect the wiring harness was simply disconnected. Why the original trim piece was replaced is anyone's guess. Should be an easy replacement.

I'll bet they switched the whole hatch, not just the deck lid. Hopefully they left the harness in place behind the rear trunk panel.

 

Didn't see the harness there, but I will pull the LH sail panel etc and maybe it is tucked in there. Will look in a hour or so, going to look at a local hatch that is really cheap and need to grab my Saab. (Don't like driving the truck)

 

huh, that's not where my wiper switch is at, mine's underneath the headlamp switch

 

The IROC's foglight switch is in that location.
