I'm working hard on finishing my interior. I have it cleaned up and detailed real nice, I dug 2+ decades of grim, dirt, dust and slime out of every corner of the inside, I repaired the center console and dash and I'm at the point where I'm upgrading it now (Leather seats with power and lumbar support installed, Double Din Bezel being fabricated for indash nav/stereo, Digital Dash being made, planning Analog back-up gauges, etc.). BUT when I stare out my windshield all I see is that stupid cover or shield on the hood scoop of my Formula stock hood, it's all bleached white from the previous owner leaving it in the sun and its driving me crazy! My car is black so it really stands out, to me at least. I want to get it powder-coated matte black but I need more parts to take to the powder coater to get my money's worth for the $50 minimum. I'm trying to think what else I could powder coat. I've been waiting for my buddy to bring over a bucket of Ducati parts to powder coat but he's too slow! I hate doing ghetto work on my car but I may break down and blast it with some matte black Dupli-color spray paint! I don't want to do it! Someone tell me not to do it!

It's such a small piece, just spray bomb it and be done.

Use SEM trim black. Spray paint works good on small parts like that. If you decided to do the whole car with rattle cans you would be making a mistake.
Seriously - spray it and be done with it.

Hahaha, yeah, I'll hit O'Reilly Autoparts on my way home. I'm restoring an old Craftsman rolling tool chest also and I'll just grab the flat black for that too. I hate reading about people half-a**ing their 3rd Gen, I didn't want to do it myself.

For the love of all that's holy, don't spray bomb it....unless it's SEM.
