Alternative to those stupid nylon fender retainers?
Alternative to those stupid nylon fender retainers?
I'm working on rust spots so I'm taking off the inner fender shields. I HATE those stupid little nylon pins that hold them on! If I try to pull them out It'll bend my fender and it's rusty so I would risk snapping something important off. The only other option is to cut them, which is OK (and what I did) but it sucks that I've got to buy a new set of retainer pins every time I need access to the wheel well.
Is there any alternative out there? Preferably somthing cost-effective. I can buy a new set of pins for around 10 bucks afterall.

I'm willing to see what is better, i've just used plastic pins from autozone. If one pops out my 235/60/15's rub pretty bad.

If those are the stock ones, I've never seen them on a camaro before. This is my second camaro and they've both had those stupid xmas tree types. Do they get damaged easily or something?
Regardless, something like that seems like a much safer solution. Thanks a ton!
