Basically, you are screwed. If you use solvent to remove the paint, you'll remove the face of the sticker as well. See if GM has any and replace them.

I live about 5 miles north of Mexicali, Mexico. More than likely the paint job was done there. I'll tell ya, in Mexicali, they do excellent paint jobs for around $700 at a well known shop. But such laziness is a common occurance, unfortunately.

Probably you are screwed, the paint probably soaked into the sticker. But.........Try taking some tape and putting it on the corner of the sticker. Press the tape on nice and hard and see if the paint comes off when you pull the tape off. Go really slow. Try a corner where you wont destroy the sticker if it rips it. Maybe Guerrilla tape.

Re: How to remove paint from door jam?

If all else fails you could try to carefully scrape it off using a razor blade. Will probably mess up the surface of the sticker but it might still be readable provided the paint does not pull the print off of it.
