Wavy Bumper

Hi all again.

Any ideas on how to fix a wavy rear bumper cover? It's not cracked or anything, just a bit uneven.

Thanks for all the help on here as well. Can't tell you how many threads I've bookmarked for future reference :-)

Re: Wavy Bumper

I have the same issue on my 84 T/A. I think (might be wrong) that Classic Industries started selling a new bumper cover for the earlier third gens again. I saw a post about it somewhere but need to check. I'd be prone to go looking in junk yards or off parts cars before I tried fixing one. I think it would be a lot of work to level it out properly and get it to hold up.

I would look in the"exterior Parts For Sale" first, try to get one with one coat of paint, not multiple(body shops frown on multiple)their there, just got to look. And Classic's only showing bumper covers for 85-90.

Re: Wavy Bumper

I see the older one on their site here: http://www.classicindustries.com/fir...ts/f15889.html

Unless there are some parts cars I can find over here I'll probably just go this route and be done with it.

Re: Wavy Bumper

There was some threads earlier about people adding support underneath to help even the front bumper cover out. IIRC, the ones I read were more for Camaro's though.
