hey guys.. i have done some "noobish" photoshop and im trying to decide which would look better on my ride.... Black or gold gta rims.... I have a flame red gta with Black cloth interior.... i was thinking black gta rims would look better because my interior is black, i swapped over to black gta emblems, my window tints are black and i smoked my tailights black also. basically im going for a red and black combo....

I get where you're going with this but your badges have gold in them so it's not like you can completely "black out" everything on the car...
I'd keep the wheels gold, it's just a GTA thing y'know?

 

I had my wheels powder coated black last year and I love the way it looks though my car is black, I do like the black on your car too but if the car had tints on it I think the black would be perfect, but since its not I would just stay gold.

when you did yours black did it make the rims look smaller or make the car look odd.... what color interior is your car.....

 

Black on black cloth, when I got the car the previous owner had the wheels painted black but after time it was coming off, so I have them coated and the lip polished, the car look better then ever.

To answer your question no the wheels dont look smaller with the stock tire size but since I started going to the track a lot I put on 255/50r16 drag radials and now the rear tires do look a little smaller then the fronts.

 

well black it is.... how much did it cost you to redo your rims..... my gold gta rims have curb rash and the paint is coming off anyway... so i minus well have them powdercoated black...

 

Actually a friend of mine did it for me and he only charged me $65 a wheel, plus he fixed a really bad rash on one of my fronts. He has a bodyshop and bought a small oven to do small parts in the shop but is doing well with it and now thinking of getting a bigger one.

I personally like how a gta looks with its factory wheels and badges. Then again, you can't go wrong with black gta wheels. Sounds similar to my car, only that mine is a base firebird. Maybe throw a few pics up of yours with the black badges.

I like black wheels, but the gold on the GTA's just works.

 

I say leave them gold, IMO the gold wheels are one of the things that makes a GTA a GTA.

FWIW, I like gold, but have a 92 Black vert TA with black interior and black wheels that looks really good!

 

im very very close to brier creek... do you guys have a phone number...how much would u guys charge to powder coat the wheels black and polish the lip... very interested.... the reason im not feeling gold is because they are hard to keep clean and it doesnt match my interior.... i will never sell the car... i have done too much to it to even consider it stock and its for my personal enjoyment.... They are GTA's wheels because they came from my real gta... just because they are black doesnt mean they aren't gta wheels anymore... i recently converted my entire interior from tan to black and i dont regret it one bit.. you would never knew i converted unless i told you... i want to do the same to my wheels..

 

ok guys well i pretty much decided that i want them redone in black.... nuffnuffz28 is going to help me out so i will post pics in the coming weeks....

 

quick update.....im letting nuffnuffz28 do my rims... he is only 20 miles from me so i cant wait to see what they look like...

nice pics man.... i love the first injection setup... it has alot more pep than the standard tpi but it looks somewhat stock.... here is a pic of my car now im using nuffnuffz28s rims..... i think the black gta rims would looks really badass on my car....
