To make a long story short, I got extremely screwed up the night before, and it started to rain. Well being as drunk as i was i couldnt screw the screw in. So i just laid the top in to place, and rolled the windows up. Well I got up the next morning tasting nothing but gold sholguer and hot damn. I had tottaly forgot about the night before. So i proceeded home when this cobra pulls up. It was primerd gray with the words "chevy killa" on the bumper.
He pulls up and gives me that long stare. I immediatley rev back. Light turns green. I pull him, at the top of first I hear this sucking sound and then i felt the wind going at 57mph. I slow down immediatley and flick on the hazards. He pulls up laughing his a$$ of and says "thats a chevy for ya!" And peels of. So I went to the dealership and found out that an oe replacment is $1400!!
I went on ebay to find a used one, and i did but the details are different. I'm worried that the bolts are goiong to be different.
Here is the item #524851075, and the other item # is #525702526. Which one will fit? please help!?!

shall we assume at the OE price this top used to be glass ?
There were 3 tops for your vette, solid painted, blue glass & bronze(most expensive)
If there is any way you can email the auctioners for OE #'s off their parts, this may be able to help you pick the right one.

For 86-88 vettes the oe part #'s go
Painted top -- 1409 1145
Blue glass --- 1234 4792
Bronze glass - 1409 1376 *85-86*
Bronze glass - 1409 1477 *86-90*

Why did you even wast your gas on a cobra?? the mustang hasn't had any thing for years and now they have super stangs that you will never get to race any ways. they sould just put GT on all there cobras and save the name cobra for a fast car.
