Totally new interior

Does anyone know what it would cost to totally re-do and interior?

New kick panels/plastic pieces, new carpet, new seats(or at least new seat apohlstry).

Well guys you should check out www.thirdgenparts.com I don't know how much they would charge but I m pretty sure they got some complete interior sets. I do know they got some of the best prices around so you should check them out, it would be a good start.

I've heard that Year One sells dye kits so you can dye your plastic panels and pieces different colors. I'd think it would be far easier just to buy new ones however.

Yeah, I will spend the money to just buy a new interior. I don't think it should be too expensive. Some of the panels are missing peices here and there, and from all the years of the car sitting in the texas sun, the panels could be somewhat brittle.

I'm in the midst of another Project Z and right now I'm doing the interior. Going from the ever popular light grey to black. I bought the plastic prep, bonding agent, and black dye from year one and sprayed all my plastics. You CANNOT tell the difference. They look good and don't scratch. This has saved me some bux because now I don't have to scrounge around for good condition used black plastic or purchase new. Just my 2 cents.

I am in the middle of this project right now (changing from tan to grey). Leave your self plenty of time if you want it done right. I found a bunch of rust that needed to be taken care of (leaking ttops) and other odds and ends. All plastic panels at local junkyard (u-pull-it) $30; Brand new headliner and abs plastic backboard $210 (Yearone = WAY overpriced); Brand new carpet (also Yearone) $250; Sound and heat insulation (eastwood & summit) $120; rear seats, door panels, seat belts (mint condition from someone parting out a thirdgen) $150; Seam sealer, paint, rust remover and many other odds and ends about $75 (eastwood and local hardware store); still not being done after about 3 months PRICELESS! Keep in mind I am fixing up EVERYTHING that i find wrong and I paid too much for the ACC carpet you can find elsewhere for cheaper. Also, I took the entire dash off and re-did the heater core and insulation on the firewall (PITA). Don't mean to scare anyone, but if you want it done right, it takes time. Sorry this is so long and good luck!

And yes that is close to $850 i spent and I still need to do something about the front seats! (torn and wrong color)

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE NEW WEATHERSTRIPPING! LOL
