Console Megashifter

Has anyone here tried the B&M console megashifter for their Fbird/ Camaro? What do you guys think of this product? I think it looks decent.

I installed one last april and love it. It looks killer and functions great. Installing it was easy, but adjusting it was a bitch. Also on hot days, if it's in direct sunlight, you better have a glove or your shirt wrapped around your hand.

I like mine, but the boot didn't last long before it ripped. Also the shift indicator cable bound up and broke. The micro-switches for reverse and park/nuetral are a pain, and they wiring has had to be replaced because it started to have so much resistance in it that the car wouldn't start.
As far as the rest of it.. i really like it, and have not had a problem with it.

I have one & love it also; installation was cake. I did use the Radio Shack relay (it'll be in the instructions). I only had one problem with it- after 3 years, the "reverse-lights" microswitch busted. I bought a new one, installed it, and that's the end of the story.

It did make me keep a piece of wire in the car, though- in case the neutral-start microswitch ever dies on me, at least I can get home!

Just read & re-read & re-re-read the instructions so you know what you're doing. Check & re-check & re-re-check the adjustment of the "swivel" to the "trans gear lever", and make sure you have the right hole in the tranny's gear lever. That's 90% of the shifter right there.

I put one in mine a while back but i had to saw the crap out of my console to make it fit. I ended up getting a new plastic consol piece cause i messed the original one up. Take your time making it fit. Thats the only little prob i had with it. I love that thing. Just put a shirt or somthing over it if you leave it in the sun cause that thing does gets hot,LOL. Later
