Rust... /:
So I have some rust on the inside part of the trunk near the rear bumper when closed. I need to get some opinions on it on how to fix and get rid of it. It's pretty bad rust and I need to get rid of it before it spreads even more. Here are some pictures:

Hit it with a wire brush, sand it smooth, then coat with a rust inhibiting paint like POR 15.

From the looks of it, it seems you won't need to make a patch. Maybe some small chunks of metal will go with the wire wheel, but not enough to require new metal. Just do like peter said, clean the area as much as possible, if you manage to go to a perfectly clean bare steel, shoot some epoxy primer on it then paint it. If not, apply some POR15 or Zero Rust, the sand and paint.

Do a Google search, there are other similar products to POR 15 that will work fine.
Also, make sure the are is perfectly dry and clean before painting it.

Wow these boards are funny. I don't see any really bad rust, heck I see nothing to worry about! (Actually I would wire wheel it then seal prime and paint it). But I'd love to have anything with that little rust around here!
