how much for new interior?

I need to put a new interior in my trans am and i am on a tight budget-200 to 250 dollars.

I would like new carpet, new door panels, maybe new plastic all around, new roof covering, new insulation and a new center council. I want the interior to look good.
is this enough money to do all the things i have listed?
if not about how much will it cost?

thanks,

Your NOT going to find a brand new interior for your price range. Your best bet, also what I am planning on doing cause im in your same shoes,is to scour junk yards and pull what you need out of deceased 3rd gens...Dont mean to be morbid.

Well you can get most of your stuff done with about that much. I redid mine for about 500-600 I got new seats, (well used fourth gen)all the interior panels, steering wheel and seat belts for all that. I lucked out and was able to reuse the carpet and door panels. I ll post a pic for yeah, Just check out the local junk yards and you might be able to the almost the whole set up in one shot. If not it will may take awhile to find everything so don't get discourage. It took me over a year. So good luck

alright here it is, I went from all grey plastic to black plastic. I wish I had a before shot but my nephew used up all my film at the time I started. Oh if anyone could post a pic of grey interior of an 89 Irocz I would be apperciate it. I would just compare it to my new interior for before and after shots. Well anyway here it is

and heres the back
yeah I got the seats for 200 and the steering wheel and cargo cover for 100 and the plastic pieces for like 100 and I had to do alitte sanding and painting to the wheel oh well ok i spent about 400 for everything sorry I thought I spent more but like I said I didn't buy door panels or headliner so that saved me a ton. Hope this helps you out.

try going to wrecking yards first, like where they tow cars after a wreck.most gas stations handle this around here.Sometimes if the cars going to the junkyard anyway you can get it from the station owner before it gets there.I did this for months and finally found a wecked 92 rs with a awesome grey interior.Plus anything else I can use.I got the car for $400 and it started and ran fine(the whole pass.side was wiped out).Around here we have "if you cant get it out break it" junkyards so if the pieces are there the guy before broke them to get to something he needed.hope this helps.

call me crazy but I got the entire interior out of a freshly wrecked 91RS for $140. That included everything I wanted to pull... anything inside the car left with me. That was for cloth seats, not the custom interior. Most salvage yards don't pull the interiors, and they just end up rotting... if you offer to do the work and can find a car with a nice interior, it shouldn't cost you more than $200.

I don't think it will fit very well at all, since it's preformed from the factory. If you're willing to pay $250 for carpet, go to www.nextgenparts.com They sell the carpet that will cover your passenger compartment, and rear hatch area for that. They've also got a hell of a lot of other stuff for 3rd and 4th gens there! Hope this helps!

Or you can order carpet from Classic industries and save $100.

Stop buying from Next Gen people, they charge more than GM.
