Looking for soffseal of metro weather stripping installed pics
Exactly like the title days, I'd like to see what they look like properly installed. I still get wind noise and I'd like to see if I did this correctly.

its one of those things that people kind of just get to eventually. i know that i have seen a couple threads about restoration and seen something in at least one or two that showed something about the weather stripping. its not real hard I've don't it on a couple peoples cars just because. just make sure you get good clips and good glue if you need

OK - here are the pics I promised of the Soffseal weatherstrip. Note that the t top drip edge is from 1A auto.
This first pic you can see they fit pretty good. They are definitely a bit thicker then GM and that has positive and negative aspects. Everything feels nice and tight, but it does take a bit more effort to close the door. The general consensus on new weatherstrip, especially aftermarket, is that they need some time to take the shape and break in. If this scares you, buck up for original GM. I had problems with the GM seals since I bought the car 23 years ago so I was willing to try something different.

I took a pic of the 2 corners. They are definitely a bit more prominent then original.

This is a pic of the t top installed. You can see in the corners where the rain gutters are, they are molded with a little more material then the originals. I think they wanted to keep the drip edge up so the water in the gutter has a place to go.

This is the front area where the gutter exits. You can see how thick the gutter is at this point. There is definitely a place for the water to exit.

This is the t top weatherstrip. The piece in front - the drip edge is not Soffseal. It is from 1A. The weatherstrip behind it is Soffseal.

The installation went smooth but I attribute that to all the reading I did on here from guys that did it already. Most of the nightmare installs are by guys that didn't install them right. Do your research first.
I haven't given it the hose test yet, as I just did them yesterday and the glue is still drying. Be sure to use plenty of glue. I went through 3 tubes, plus the body caulk that is used in the corners.
I am happy with them. I would recommend them.

I just reread your initial post and noticed that you already installed your weatherstrip. Where are you getting wind noise? I haven't had mine on the road yet, but the doors are sealed so tight I doubt that any wind noise will come through. The only spots I can think of are the corners where I used the strip caulk. Those are actually spots where you can see a hole where there is no weatherstrip until you seal it with the strip caulk. You can see the issue in this thread.

Make sure yours are sealed correctly in those areas.

I got wind noise in the triangle sometimes. When my window wasn't adjusted properly it came up too far and the window pushes seal up off the hard triangle piece. I would get out of the car and push the seal down and the noise would go away until it pushed up again. I have since adjusted my window and it no longer pushed the seal up anymore.

Those are the rubber drip edges. They fit OK but the outer portion does not sit flush with the edge of the t top. They come with a double face tape to keep them on the t top but since they are not sitting flush the tape won't hold them there. It is like the angle molded into them was not perfect, so they want to pull away. I told 1A about it and that I wanted to try out the plastic drip edge in hopes that they fit better and they refunded my money so I can purchase the plastic version. I will update when I find out how those fit.
1A definitely has good customer service. I am just hoping the plastic ones don't have the same issue.
