Re: help removing fender

May be a stupid question but you took off the inner fender plastic correct? the part inside the wheel well. There are 8 bolts across the top that need to come out including the hood hinge, then the bottom there are two more just to the rear of the wheel

Pinchweld under the car. The pinchweld may have been folded over the bolt heads by a jack.

Re: help removing fender

Thats her, it is bent (folded over). You are looking at the back side of the bolt you need to remove. You will have to start with a prybar and expose the bolt head and finish the repair with a hammer and dolly. The pinchweld which is now horizontal, should be verticle when finished. Most of the time when the pinchweld gets bent like that it bows the fender out along the door edge. Once you repair it it will really help your door to fender alingment.

Re: help removing fender

Yea that is called the fender tab bolt they always get bent up from jacking the car up in the wrong spot u need to fold it back over straight i would also replace that spot cause it tends to start rotting in that spot due to weak metal

Re: help removing fender

Ok I think I understand now. So basically I have to pry that metal towards me right because that's what I see when I look under the door. It's bent inward correct me if I'm wrong because that fender does not aligin with my door at all

Re: help removing fender

You will have to pry down and towards transmission. The head of the bolt will face you when complete.

Not the exact location however, the pinchweld should be straight like this all the way down the rocker panel.
