Skeptical. Too good to be true. Proof is in the pudding. Put some pictures where your mouth is. "Cliche". And I'm excited. Thanks.

He's obviously on his way to federal prison for the illegal HID conversion.

Re: e36 headlight swap completed!!!

not the most factory way of doing it but it works great, is brighter, looks better than stock, and i get compliments left and right on it.

Yes you did, but don't say anything, enough tears in the dirt around here lately.

Re: e36 headlight swap completed!!!

What's the benefit of these types of headlights over the OEM ones?

I did a projector bi xenon HID conversion on mine, and the difference is incredible.

Re: e36 headlight swap completed!!!

the zipties arent holding the light on at all, they are there for a temperary solution to another problem. as for the wood screws and brackets they will be replaced when i think of some other way to hold the lights on that is a more clean "stock" looking solution. the point is, that i just did this swap without cutting into my core support which so many before me did, compromizing the structural integrity of their car. I was thinking about just kind of making some kind of plate to go on the top of the lights for a flush look on top. then maybe install a way to adjust them, even though they light up the road just fine right now.

Re: e36 headlight swap completed!!!

I want to do this conversion because I think it looks really smooth but i still don't understand a way of mounting them. And do you have to cut into the radiator support? Did you use the EURO or USA version?

Re: e36 headlight swap completed!!!

Im in the same boat as no one ever explains how they mount them at all

At least it seems like you didnt have to cut the support at all or the headlight bezel either. How did you do that?
