89 front on 92 possible?
89 front on 92 possible?
Is it possible to use an older style front nose panel on a 92 firebird? The reason why is because I do not like the front end style as much as a older one and i have to replace the front end anyways because it is all torn up, the rest of the body style is great. If so do I just replace the cover or do I have to replace the bumper underneath the cover? Or what?

You would have to change just about everything (that bolts on), except the fenders and the impact bar and misc minor plastic parts

why are you mutilating a car like this? You are taking a step backwards, going to the boxy Camaro-ish 80s style look. If you do decide to abominize your car then you'll need new ground effects for the front. And even then the square look of the front will clash badly with the smooth, aero look of the rest of the car.
Get another car and do it right.

Umm,,,it's a firebird,,, not a camaro,, and it's his car. He was only wanting to kow if it can be done (and the camaro nose never really changed dramatically either from 82 to 92)

I have a similar question...
How hard would it be to get a 91-92 GTA front bolted onto my 86 TA? I think the 91-92 GTA front end is a hell of alot more aggressive, and if i can find the front end off one, i would put it on. Thoughts?

To whoever said that the body is different is wrong. Especially if it is a base or Formula firebird, because they don't have the ground effects. The best change would be to put the 88-90 Formula nose on there. That way, your front end won't be lower than the body (I'm referring to how the ground effects hang down). I suppose that if you wanted to put the '91-91 GTA nose on your car, I would get ahold of the same year ground effects. Otherwise, you will have a rounded front end on a squared off car (because of the GFX. The body parts themselves are the same).

Unfortunatly there's too many p/n's in the boof and I'm to lazy to put them to the pics (and since I'm pretty slow at typing/making web pages).
If you need a part # tho, feel free to ask or email me
