I saw a picture today of someone who put a 4thgen dash, console, and seats into a 3rdgen Camaro. The scary thing is that it looked factory. Everything matched. He used the '97+ style dash and all the guages and everything worked. I'm not sure about the small warning lights, though. Supposedly, he ran a 4thgen rear and had ABS active, too. Man, that must've been luck or a ton of wiring!

Has anyone done this? Any pics? The dash in my IROC is cracked, and I'm expecting to replace the carpets and seats. The console was also on my list. Everything's out except the dash. Wonder if I should give it a try, I've got plenty of 4thgen parts on it as is...always looking for something using factory parts to make it stand out...

What about the ABS? Ive got a '95 4thgen rear and 1LE fronts. Probably won't do it, but wondering about it anyway.

Anyone know where to get TRUE black seats from a late-model T/A? Everyone I know of who says black means dark grey. I found a fully loaded set from a '97 WS6 'vert with lumbar on both sides (!?!) for a good price, wondering if I should gank them...only prob is they're dark grey, I want black (red interior)...

 

I've seen some nice ones on here, and I plan on doing the swap too. I searched the old message boards for 4th gen dash and it somehow came back with nothing, I think this time around when everyone posts up old links I'll save them all and put 'em on the web since this is going to be my first big project.

I never have really seen a website talking about what's involved usually just a lot of pictures.

So anyone with any pics, links, etc. of this wanna post 'em up, then I can put 'em all in one place for everyone interested.
