where to find antenna relocation kit?

so i am getting my antenna shaved on my new GM fender, so i went to the car stereo place here in town for the kit that goes in the windshield, and they said they dont have one.
i would go downtown to the tint and stereo place but our downtown is flooded!
anywhere else that might sell it?

i am always listening to CD's but i want to be able to listen to the radio once in a while, a great while.

i found the one at Radio shack, they were asking 5.99 i was gonna buy it then noticed i only had $5. oh well i will get it next time i am in town!

thanks, and it plugs into the back of the CD player, is there a slot in most CD players for this, and what if my window breaks do i have to buy a new one. becuase i am already planning on changing the front window,i have a spider crack, really small, and it has pitting on it, from old age!
thanks

Engine: 5.0 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
I am also doing this. Getting the radio shack $5.99 do-hicky, and also getting an FM signal amplifier. Those damn power antenna's are s**t(at least mine is, and its just a year old or so). Hopefully, this will allow me to listen to my radio stations again in places that i cant now.....but where my gf's 94 fixed-fender antenna does...

Here is your answer!!!! we built a street rod and didn't want to put an antenna on it so we used a hidden one. It is made be Harada and it is a little box with 2 arms that come out of it. You can put it up under the dash or where ever. I think it is amplified. I know it is really powerful though!

Dakota digital sells one for around $69 which is amplified, but you wouldn't really know it! this is what is recommended in all custom car sites.........but there are problems.

The end of the unit is somewhat large for an antenna making it impossible to hide it under the top of the dash or anywhere along the headboard; meaning you have to hide it closer to the floor!! remember it has to be as close to the metal frame as possible(pain in the *** to find a place that works). overall, when it works it works great, but i wouldn't recommend it for the price.

The radio shack unit works on the same prinicple, only it isn't amplified; you plug it in like the stock existing antenna and find a place close to the frame to get good reception, (this is easier with this unit because the end is much smaller than amplified units). As to how it works, i just purchased one and will have it in by the end of the week and i will let you know!

overall, shaving your antenna really adds a custom appeal to your car, although if done right, most people never even notice it. (except for the few diehards like ourselves). Amplified units sound great, but are often expensive. I would first try the radio shack unit, if that doesn't work try dakota digital; maybe you'll have better luck with reception?
