This is super slick bird, nice touch with the black emblems (painted on)....

Hate to say i agree with the hotrod flames, simply cause i have only ever seen it once look good, but i think its because i am kinda picky with hotrod flames as it is....my personal taste that is...but of course ill paint them how ever you want to, lmao...
Except that yellow firebird with the purple flames, id said no to that all together

Hey guys. Finally get to update and bring back a cool thread to life. This is my 87GTA. Custom painted.

 

I almost always hate "busy" paint jobs like that, but you did an amazing job, I love the theme and style and I'm a military guy, absolutely love your paint job!

That's, uh... Busy.

 

If I can interject a thought. And believe me, I know that even a single custom color change creates likes and dislikes (I have never owned a car that fell in between love and hate) but sometime, its not a "busy" as much as "heavy". Mine is def a "heavy" paint scheme and worst is, its still not completed. Although it is at this point (cleared in pics).

But point is, line between heavy and busy, heavy means a lot....busy reflects the layout, busy being confusing or as if your lost, maybe over welmed in what your viewing. Heavy is just big and mass in what's painted....

Surprisingly enough these words are industry words.

With mine, I wouldn't call busy...its very thought oriented and its layout, but the paint job is heavy.

I mention this nor because its my car, but becausei like the thread to be geared towards custom painted 3rdgen of all degree and style.
And personally. ?..I really don't like busy or open ended schemes...ex: bio mech with hoses that go no were and a 1000gears that do nothing but float...of course, I want everyone to feel comfortable and confident to post your car. So if you have bio mech camaro...still wanna see it

Custom Ralley Red with Custom Black Racing Stripes both containing Crystal Red Pearl.

With the Pearl and Synthetic Polymer I use gives it a glass appearance.

I typically like things simple, but words cannot describe how epic your artwork is. My favorite exterior 3rd gen now, really love how detailed it is.

Custom Black Stripes bumper to bumper, Bright red paint ( Code 81 GM )

 

Really like the double stripes catching the fwd turns like that. Bumper to bumper stripes always create a cool look, but am wondering if the pinstripe is painted too....looks good, thanks for sharing

 

The pinstripe on the stripes, or side of car? I'll answer both. Neither are painted on just regular black pinstriping. I want to remove it and have it painted on, but wish in one hand....

The no f*cks given trans am. Paint is aircraft paint that I got cheap, completely halfa**ed. Jaws hand painted. Everything else is mud

Yeah but I'm going to change the color of the strips to a gunmetal gray I have just finish painting under the hood and transmission now working on the engine getting it ready for paint

Well if I may! Suggest....sickest I've seen yet is paint block and intake to match engine bay with valve covers painted to contrast! So nice and with motor already out!

It'll just be that little thing that sets yours up a notch

 

That's what I'm working on going to look at a engine Friday and hope it's what he said it is

 

 

Nothing too fancy. I painted it Nocturne Blue, stencil-painted some graphics and cleared over them. Gets nice compliments.
