Need quick opinions
Hey guys, I haven't been on here in years! But I have never lost my love of third gens. I just came across the opportunity to purchase a 91Z28. The 91-92Z have always been my favorite.
It's an LB9/5speed car. I checked it out briefly this morning before work, the pass side rear quarter over the tire has a nice crack in it, and there's a dent near the tail light and the pass side door also has a small bit of damage.. He just replaced the padding underneath the carpet, and the interior isn't all back together yet, but appears to all be there and be in good shape. The seats have seen better days, but I would like to swap 4th gens anyways. And it also needs a wheel bearing.
It has a bunch of suspension work, spohn control arms/f&r sway bars, torque arm etc. It has aftermarket wheels with new tires also.
I can pick it up for 2k. Title is clean, has 170k miles on it. Engine sounds really good, tranny has been rebuilt as well. The car seems solid for the most part, the issues seem to be cosmetic. And it's a hard top, which I prefer.
What do you guys think?
Here's a couple pictures from the ad.

My kind of man! I gave $3250 for mine. It had 48k original miles and needed very little. I understand I got a pretty good deal but I based my opinion on that.

It was just one of those things.....I was in living in NC at the time. Wasnt really looking and saw it for sale for 5Kish. Offered him 3800, he wouldn't take it. Almost a year later he calls me and tells me he would take the 3800. I showed up with 3250!

Welp, I'm picking her up tomorrow! He came to me at the porsche/audi dealership that I am working at today. So I was able to take the Z out for a ride.
It's a stock LB9 so it is about as slow as I expected. The motor is strong and smooth though. The tranny has recently been rebuilt and feels excellent. The steering is super tight. It handles great, I got underneath and the Spohn controls arms, sways bars, torque arm etc don't look old at all. Underneath the Z is very clean. It has brand new exhaust (stock unfortunately). Hell the heater and AC even work. He has a new wheel bearing, complete top end gasket set, and some other misc items that come with it. Not to mention he has a FSM that he's tossing in!
Can't wait to get it tomorrow. I've been itching for something to play with. My wife drives the E46 bmw more than I do now so I've been bored!

Snapped a pic as he was leaving the dealer. Damn the wheels are ugly. Hopefully I can find some 91-92 Z stockers locally.
