I want to start off by saying many of you on here have very very nice cars... Thats why i brought this up, Would my car be considered in decent condition??? Heres a couple body pics... I mean obviously it needs paint work

 

Replaced all my brakes (shoes, springs, cylinders, rotors, pads, and calipers.)

 

Interior: (seats out for cleaning. no rips or anything in my seats, just a little rust on the mounts that stained the carpet, though no rust under the carpet)

Also i am aware i have a manual shift plate on atm, reason being mine was really messed up(included pic), i also plan to do a manual swap later down the road.

And does anyone know what i could do with the auto plate? i don't just wanna throw it away, but its in bad shape(concerning the rips and the lid on the ashtray), what mods i could do???

 

Looks to be in average condition, does it leak?
How do the floors look under the carpet, and bottom of the doors?

Are you thinking of restoring it?

 

Its my first ever car, it runs just fine, no leaks that i can see, and no rust. Just going to make it look better and all for now, later down the road ill put more money in.

 

I plan on this two tone paint job aswell, any thoughts? (the paint color of the blue will be the same as it is now)

Also, does anyone know what the color of my car is? its the original paint.

I would hit up some wrecking yards, and replace some of those interior pieces.
A better looking dash pad would do wonders for the interior. Try shampooing the carpet and see if you can get some of those stains out too.

 

None of my plastics are messed up at all, only real things messed up are the dash and carpets

 

I agree. $100 or so at the right yard can make a world of difference with your interior. My '91 has come a LONNNNG way with its interior, which was pretty much trashed when I got the car. All it's lacking now is door panels and carpet, and I've spent less than $250 in junkyard/used parts (front and rear seats, dash pad, steering wheel, overhead console, rear cargo divider, gauge cluster lens, radio, cig lighter, hatch lift support mounting bolt covers, headlight switch, rearview mirror, rear defrost retrofit, passenger visor, cupholders, dr inside door handle, 3rd brake light assembly, seatbelt receivers, miscellaneous screws and covers, etc.).

 

As I said though, my plastics are really good as is, though i want black, may paint them up. only thing wrong is theres no carpet on them, i want carpet, only carpeted panels are the side kicks, and only one has carpet thats coming off, thats the only real prob with my plastics lol. But yea, i want to get extras, see if i can find all black, the junkyards in town dont have anything thirdgen.

Ive seen that paint style on different cars and in my opinion I didnt like it at all. Spice it up somehow as that seems to be the thing now with black hoods, trunk and roofs. There is other tings you could add to make it different like the GFX black and the mirriors as well.

Carpets you can clean or get new. Dash pads are hard to find for 91 - 92 cars up here as it has the sensor. Hell even getting a good pad at all is hard. Im surprised no one has tried to make them yet

 

What sensor do the 91/92 dash pads have?
I think they are all interchangeable 82-92.

I would spend a couple hundred and just replace the carpet. It will make a huge difference in the look of the car.

 

TBH I love this color, it was unique to me and i just want to keep thet color somehow. Maybe all black, keep the aqua RS emblems, and paint the calipers and drums to match? aqua headlight buckets? idk

 

I like the color of your car and around here I have seen many with crappy paint jobs over the teal just to hide it. If I had that color I would keep it and not mess with it or have it repainted the same color.

 

Yea i was thinking keeping the original, and painting the buckets, wheels, and maybe get an iroc hood with louvers for black stripes.

That or the whole top half gets a black job, the hood, headlight bumper area, rearview mirrors, and spoiler.
